Gå (walk) is a tune for walking. And also, it is a track made for the walk between my apartment and my school. One late night, tons of snow was falling and tea was brewing, and I was looking out the window. The thought of having to walk to school the next day made my head feel pretty heavy and my body weak. But I sat down and tried to visualize the whole walk, trying to figure out what the different laps were, dividing the trip into parts. And I realized how that could be done musically as well, so I took some newly recorded guitar-samples and got to work. In the flash of about a couple of hours I had a sketch of something that was almost like a movie (in my head, at least..). I heard jumping down the stairs and entering the outside world. I could hear the giant fan I walk past down by the harbor (I usually pop my headphones of and tilt my head back slightly and enjoy the overwhelming sound). I could hear walking over the boring bridge, and stopping to wait for the green light, both of them (knowing that I might be getting late, so please hurry), and turning left into the gate of my school. You probably can’t hear it though, but you can try, now that you know.
